The Experience
Julian Rocks Marine Sanctuary in Byron Bay is rated as one of the best dive sites in Australia.
"Nguthungulli", the local Arakwal name for this incredible place, offers protected safe and shallow waters perfect for snorkelling and freediving. Sitting off the most easterly point of Australia, Julian Rocks is a convergence point of warm tropical and cooler temperate waters, making it a marine wildlife hotspot! Whales, Dolphins, Manta Rays, Leopard Sharks, Grey Nurse Sharks and Turtles are all common visitors. Nuthangulli is a perfect environment for snorkelling and freediving with prolific fish life and multiple areas to explore.
Our on-board Marine biologist will guide you to the best spots to see marine life.
We provide a high-quality mask, set of fins and a wetsuit.
Enjoy the sights of the Byron Bay coastline onboard our comfortable, purpose-built vessel "Wardjum" - Bundjalung for a mythical sea creature.
We often encounter local dolphins and other marine life on the way to Julian Rocks. Humpback whales are also a daily sight from June to November.
Tours depart from Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour just 15 minutes North of Byron Bay.
