Your **Cook Island snorkelling tour** departs from the **public jetty in the park opposite 1A Minjungbal Drive, Tweed Heads South, NSW 2486**.
The jetty is conveniently located near Coolangatta and Gold Coast Airport, with plenty of parking nearby.

Cook Island Turtle Snorkelling Tour
Explore Cook Island Aquatic Reserve with Blue Seafaris on a guided snorkelling adventure off Fingal Head, near the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.
Known locally as Joong-urra-narrian, this marine sanctuary offers shallow reefs teeming with life. Swim alongside turtles and colourful schools of fish, with opportunities to encounter eagle rays and seasonal visitors such as manta rays and leopard sharks. Snorkelling locations are selected on the day to suit conditions.
Guided by a Marine Biologist
Our onboard marine biologist will guide you to the best spots to discover Cook Island’s marine life and share insights into this remarkable underwater environment.
Your tour includes a quality mask, fins and wetsuit, so you can enjoy your time in the water comfortably.
A Scenic Tweed River Boat Journey
Your adventure begins with a cruise along the Tweed River before heading offshore to Cook Island. Watch for seabirds and local dolphins along the way. During the une–November humpback whale migration you may also spot whales during the ocean journey.
Wildlife encounters vary with the season and conditions, making every tour unique.
Swimming Ability & Minimum Age
This is an open-water snorkelling tour. All participants must:
- Be confident swimming in open water.
- Be able to swim 200 metres unassisted.
- Have a reasonable level of fitness.
- Be at least seven years old.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is unsuitable for non-swimmers; we do not provide flotation jackets to enable non-swimmers to participate.
Arrival & Departure Times
Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure so we can fit your equipment and prepare you for boarding.
All departure times follow NSW local time. During daylight saving, NSW is one hour ahead of Queensland.
The boat departs at the scheduled time and cannot wait for late arrivals.
Weather & Sea Conditions
Tours are scheduled daily, subject to weather, tides and sea conditions.
If we cancel your tour because conditions are unsuitable, you can choose a credit voucher or a refund. Under our cancellation policy, refunds are for the tour price less booking and credit card fees.
To request a booking change or cancellation, email us at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. With less than 48 hours’ notice, your booking payment is forfeited.
After You Book
You’ll receive a confirmation email with your departure location, what to bring and a link to the liability waiver.
A waiver must be completed for every participant before arrival.
If your departure needs to be rescheduled, we’ll contact you by email and SMS. Please provide your mobile number when booking and check your messages before travelling.

You will have received a liability waiver form in the booking confirmation email. Every participant is required to complete the waiver. Parents can sign for their children. If you did not receive a pre-arrival waiver email, please click the button below to complete your "Waiver". You will be asked a series of important questions and will be required to electronically sign the waiver, with legal guardians signing for children. This is mandatory before boarding our vessel, as is the safety briefing prior to departure.
